Aquest interessant article fa una repassada a la història dels netbooks i en preveu el futur:

Si això és veritat, ja no em podré separar de l’org-mode mai més.
I’ve been working with Carsten on a free iPhone app for Org. We are still working out some of the details, but so far we have it running on the phone in a fairly usable state. It needs some polish, but it is very nice to see my Org data easily accessible on a mobile device with offline access. To be clear, we aren’t trying to run Emacs on the device. The goal is to view Org files and agendas as well as capture new notes.

Lo que nos deja esta odisea de la Escuela 2.0, en la gran mayoría de la geografía española, es improvisación, despilfarro, dinero extra para ciertas compañías que parecen tener un trato preferente con la Administración Pública … mientras que la ciudadanía queda en un segundo plano, y el Software Libre queda como un objeto de usar y tirar. Que las instituciones públicas apuesten de verdad, sin engaños, sin dobleces, por el Software Libre, o que dejen de hacer abuso de la bandera del Software Libre.

Sobre la hipocresia ambiental europea:
The Kyoto Protocol measures countries’ production of carbon, not consumption. It’s no accident the Europeans like Kyoto. It’s a set of measures which, as they de-industrialize and production moves to countries like China, makes them look good. But the carbon consumption record of Europe, once you take those imports back, is pretty awful. That’s why Kyoto looks like a success, and yet it hasn’t caused even a blip in the emissions path.

Gone is the neat division between attacker and defender. Instead there is a messy and poisonous plurality of rival groups, tribes and bandits; some co-operate with the government, others with the assorted rebels. Allegiances are fickle, loyalties easily bought. The two original rebel groups have fragmented into at least 20 factions. The International Criminal Court at The Hague has indicted Sudan’s president, Omar al-Bashir, for war crimes in Darfur. But it has also accused three rebel leaders of similar crimes. Even the notorious janjaweed, an Arab militia that served as proxies for the Sudanese army, are now as likely to fight each other or even to turn on the government if they have not been paid on time. It is wrongheaded nowadays simply to tag the rebels as “good” and the Sudanese government forces as “evil”.

Julen, tienes toda la razón del mundo. Desde hace algo más de un año siento exactamente lo que describes. Ya no puedo seguir el ritmo, y tampoco me interesa. A lo mejor es por esta razón que vuelvo a herramientas que ya consideraba anticuadas, y me funcionan muy bien. Yo sí que puedo trabajar con gente más joven que yo, pero no puedo trabajar con alguien de menos de 20 años, no puedo trabajar con alguien de tercero de primaria. Ya ves, nos volvemos viejos muy pronto en estos tiempos que corren.
